Blow moulding and preform equipment must be checked against the complete bottle and preform specification. Neck finish, preform geometry, resin, mould set and required bottle output influence whether a used system can be integrated into the intended PET line.

Information to verify

• preform weight, neck finish, material and heating profile
• bottle drawings, mould cavities and base inserts included
• documented output by bottle size and format
• high- and low-pressure air, cooling and electrical demand
• oven, transfer, controls, auxiliaries and manuals included.

For a used blower, confirm every mould and preform family supplied and size the compressor and cooling systems for the actual duty. For preform presses, verify mould, hot runner, injection unit and auxiliaries as one system.
