For a UK bottling or packaging project, the installation destination and the machine’s current location must both be clear. A line advertised by an Italian company is not necessarily stored in Italy. Elitekno confirms the relevant machine reference, collection location and proposed services before defining the transfer.
Specify Great Britain or Northern Ireland
The UK Government’s import guide distinguishes Great Britain from Northern Ireland. It also covers importer preparation, EORI identification, customs declarations, commodity classification and valuation. Give the exact destination and identify who will handle import formalities before transport is arranged. Consult the official step-by-step UK import guide; the applicable route depends on the actual movement and goods.
Match the machinery proposal to the installation
For a winery, specify still or sparkling product, glass bottle drawings and closures. For a brewery or soft-drink producer, distinguish bottles from cans and provide the container and closure specifications. A can filler and seamer must be assessed together; buying a machine with a similar stated output does not establish compatibility with an existing line.
Start with wine equipment, beer equipment or canning equipment. For case packing, shrink wrapping and pallet handling, use the packaging machinery guide.
Keep product requirements separate from customs clearance
An import plan does not by itself confirm that equipment is suitable to be placed on the market or used at the site. The Office for Product Safety and Standards publishes guidance on machinery supplied in Great Britain. Check the requirements for the actual machine, its history and the proposed installation. Agree which instructions, identification, technical documents and any adaptation work must be assessed before the offer is confirmed.
Build a transfer and acceptance checklist
- Machine identity: manufacturer, model, reference, serial number where available, included components and format parts.
- Transfer: collection address, dismantling scope, package sizes, loading arrangements and delivery access.
- Receiving site: utility data, unloading equipment, line layout and installation responsibilities.
- Acceptance: formats, product conditions, tests and operator instruction to be included in the agreed scope.
Manufacturer sections such as Krones and Kosme are additional catalogue routes, not statements of UK stock or manufacturer authorisation. If you cannot find an appropriate machine online, send your brief: other opportunities may be assessed and availability is confirmed individually.
Discuss your UK machinery project →
Elitekno’s central contact is in Italy. Supply, end use, recipient, transport, applicable requirements and any requested support are assessed before the proposal is agreed. Explore international project planning.
Do you own unused or decommissioned machinery?
Elitekno also helps owners plan the sale of bottling and packaging equipment they no longer use. A proposal can cover one machine, several units or a complete line. We assess the available information and agree the presentation and commercial terms before promoting suitable equipment through our portals and international channels.
You can start by asking for information or a preliminary assessment. Share the machine’s location, manufacturer, model and known condition; photographs and the planned decommissioning date help us understand the opportunity. If you have not set a price, the selling form lets you leave it blank and request an assessment.
Propose machinery or request an assessment → Ask for information first
The initial enquiry does not automatically publish a listing or commit you to a sale. The proposed transaction and any dismantling, packing, transport or other support are assessed and agreed individually.
